Horticulture Masterclass with Donny Billington – RHS Committee Member and Award Winning Horticulturist

About the course

Myerscough College are delighted that Donny Billington will be hosting a horticultural masterclass in the newly refurbished conservatories at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington. The College are working in partnership with Donny to establish the Bromeliad collection and displays (that have won over 50 RHS Gold Medals and 9 Best in Shows to date) and are open to the public as a display, but this is an opportunity to work with Donny.

The display at Walton includes 3 National Collections of Bromeliad that are of significant horticultural and scientific importance. The workshop offers participants the opportunity to understand and develop the techniques required for setting up a Chelsea Flower Show display. This is a unique experience and the skills can be transferred to other plant families such as emprophytes etc.

The session will also include successful propagation techniques, focusing on the bromeliad family.
