Blackpool Transport are making some changes to their network from January 2024. Whilst this doesn't impact on our College services, it might impact on any connections that you use in the Blackpool area. There's more information here: Your Routes, Reimagined in January 2024  - Enjoyable Travel Along the Fylde Coast (blackpooltransport.com)

  • Blackburn
  • Burnley and Accrington
  • Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley
  • St Annes, Warton, Freckleton and Kirkham
  • Preston Railway Station
  • Chorley service - 125C - please note this service number reverts to the 125C. Note this is a morning-only service. See more information below.

The nearest bus stop is the Roebuck in Bilsborrow on the Lancaster to Preston bus route (service no. 40 and 41). There are approximately two buses per hour during the week and Myerscough College operates a shuttle bus from the campus to the bus stop every 20 minutes. We operate a free bus service from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk, calling at Kirkby and Fazakerley and one from South Liverpool calling at Speke, Halewood and Huyton.

Please note: the 125C only runs in the morning and there is no return at the end of the day; students are expected to use the service buses to return. This has been done to allow segregation between Myerscough College & Preston's College students.

Timetables for this service can be found at on Stagecoach via their Bus Journey Planner or through their app.  The bus leaves Chorley at 07:32 and will bring students directly to campus.  Students can then use the 40/41 service to Preston Bus Station and connect to any 125 service throughout the day to return home.  Students travelling from Leyland can purchase the Stagecoach Scholar Pass through Myerscough College.

Myerscough College offers Stagecoach bus passes to students travelling from Morecambe, Lancaster and Garstang on the 40/41 service.  Any students travelling from Bolton, Leyland, Southport and other areas South of Preston, that operates a Stagecoach Service, can also purchase the Stagecoach Scholar Pass and then travel on the 40/41 public service from Preston to Bilsborrow.  Students who obtain a Stagecoach bus pass can use these any time so travel can fit around their timetables

Why not download the Stagecoach App and plan your journey with live times. The app also allows you to buy tickets online, save your favourite routes and locate the nearest bus stop. (please note, this app is for public services only and not the Myerscough College direct buses.)

If you are studying at either our Witton Park or Lancashire County Cricket Club campuses, you'll find transport information on each campus' respective page.
