Practice and Funding Information Level 3 Veterinary Nursing
There are two routes for funding but the method of delivery is very similar. The Apprenticeship Route does have a different method of assessment, which may impact on the traditional completion time. You can contact us directly if you require more information regarding end dates.
Apprentice Route
Some employers may choose to employ their learners as Apprentices (employer responsible for the course fees). If the employer is a levy payer then this is usually a preferred route. The course assessment is slightly longer than the FE route so it may take an additional year to ensure that the student becomes a fully certified VN.
Further Education Route
Some applicants will be classed as Further Education (applicant responsible for the course fees). In some cases the course is free, so this can often be the preferred option for smaller non levy paying employers.
The below information applies to learners who live and work in England. If you are applying from outside of England or your Practice isn't based in England, then we recommend that you contact Finance or The Employer Services Team for advice.
