Oliver McEntyre
I’ve had a long and varied career since graduating from Myerscough and my current role sees me as National Agricultural Strategy Director for Barclays Bank. My formal qualification has opened doors throughout my career. I initially went into farm management, then as an independent consultant where it was my qualification which opened the door to gaining contracts for consultancy post-FMD. From there, the bank was looking for someone with a strong agricultural knowledge to bolster the leadership team and I was appointed to my current role.
My course gave me the base knowledge of agriculture I needed as well as business management. To anyone looking to study Agriculture or Countryside at Myerscough College, I’d say go, embrace it & leave with the knowledge that the qualification will stay with you for the rest of your career and open doors that might not have been opened without the time and experience Myerscough offers.
