New alumni network marks quarter of a century of sportsturf apprenticeships at Myerscough

Since launching this initiative at the end of the 1990s, Myerscough College has trained more than 4,800 apprentices, setting the standard for excellence in the field.

Myerscough’s programme has become synonymous with quality education, hands-on experience, and industry relevance, thanks to the relentless efforts of our staff and the enthusiasm of our learners.

This month Paul McGrail, Executive Director and Assistant Principal - Apprenticeships, Skills & Employer Engagement, also celebrates 25 years of service to Myerscough, and being involved in the inception and development of sportsturf provision from the start.

Paul said: ‘’It’s been an incredible experience to be part of Myerscough College for the past 25 years.

‘’Watching our apprentices grow and succeed in the sportsturf industry is immensely rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to this national programme from its inception that not only educates but also shapes future turf leaders in the field of sportsturf.
