It’s National Careers Week, a celebration and a focus for careers guidance activity, to help support young people leaving education.

At Myerscough, our award-winning careers team support students via a dedicated Careers Zone at our main Bilsborrow centre, with direct access to quality resources and advisor who support learners to plan a personal career pathway.
Students also have access to support on the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) platforms, which offers content specifically designed to help students make informed decisions about individual career aspirations.
Our advisors are trained to provide quality careers education, information, advice and guidance to all our students.
In addition, Myerscough College and University Centre offers high quality of information, advice and guidance (IAG).
The matrix Standard is a unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals. Continued accreditation under the matrix Standard provides national recognition of the quality of the service delivered and is measured every couple of years.
We are proud of being a vocational college and university centre, helping our students achieve jobs in their dream careers and chosen industries.
Why not become part of the Myerscough family in 2025? Our next Course Advice Morning is on Saturday, March 29th, where you can speak directly to our careers team.
Myerscough College holds national Quality in Careers status, after a thorough evaluation process.
The Quality in Careers Standard is an excellent achievement and recognises the quality and breadth of careers provision on offer.
It is coordinated by Complete Careers (Career Mark), a Licensed Awarding Body for the National Quality in Careers Standard, and is designed to recognising an organisation’s commitment to their students’ future, as well as raising levels of motivation, attainment and aspiration.
Myerscough College is also proud to hold all eight Gatsby Benchmarks – a measure of having excellent practice in careers advice and guidance.
The Gatsby Benchmarks provide a framework for career guidance, outlining the experiences and information each and every young person should have access to so that they can make an informed decision about their future.
