The prestigious annual event later this month will see Myerscough bring to life the two winning entries in the annual Schools Design-a-Garden Competition.

The competition is for junior school pupils in years 3, 4, 5 and 6, with a bumper year of entries from across the region.

The winners are Chloe Stirling from Dawpool C E Primary School and Eve Archer from Cottam Primary School.

The competition received hundreds of entries from lots of budding gardeners and the designs were judged by a team of professionals.

The two winning designs will now be bought to life for the show under the direction of Myerscough College’s horticulture and landscape apprentices.

Once completed, the gardens will be on display during the show and always receive a great deal of attention from the tens of thousands of visitors who attend every year.
