The annual University Centre Myerscough Higher Education Graduate Student Showcase was a huge success.
The event, held at Myerscough’s HE Centre, provides students, staff, employers, family members and industry partners, the chance to see what University Centre Myerscough graduates have been working on as part of their studies.
Watch a video of the event here:
The aim of the event is to provide a development opportunity for graduates to share their research and ideas from their final projects. It’s also a chance to learn more about what goes on at University Centre Myerscough.
Level 4, 5 and 6 undergraduate and Level 7 postgraduate students get the opportunity to showcase and disseminate their research and final pieces for their degrees.
The event included the display of work presented by current students from Agriculture and Countryside, Animal Studies, Equine Studies, Farriery, Floral Design, Greenspace, Landscape and Creative Design, Motorsport, Sport, Teacher Training and Veterinary Nursing. This included oral presentations and poster/article displays.
The event showcases our student’s work at its very best and shows what a diverse range of research we undertake at University Centre Myerscough.
We have incredible support from our industry representatives, and of course, academic support for our teaching and learning which is ultimately the key focus of the heart of Myerscough.
Wes Johnson, Chief Executive and Principal of University Centre Myerscough, said: ‘’This was a great opportunity for us to celebrate what our students have been doing, and for the students themselves to share their research findings and other course projects.
‘’Thanks to all the students and staff who have organised the event, and thanks too to parents, local employers and industry contacts for attending the event.
‘’This was an important opportunity for students to learn and reflect on what they’ve achieved during their programme.’’
