Careers showcase gives Myerscough learners first class advice

Last week, Myerscough welcomed dozens of different employers and organisations in the land-based sector as part of a careers led ‘My Sector Showcase’ event.
The annual careers day was an opportunity for students from across all subject areas to chat to a range of different businesses about the careers on offer in a host of sectors, as well as offering the opportunity to be part of a number talks and workshops running throughout the day.
There was excellent feedback from students, staff and guests alike, who all enjoyed a highly productive day.
Students also have access to support on the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) platforms, which offers content specifically designed to help students make informed decisions about individual career aspirations.
Our advisors are trained to provide quality careers education, information, advice and guidance to all our students.
Myerscough College and University Centre continues to hold accreditation under the matrix Standard, national recognition of the quality of the service delivered.
Myerscough College is proud to hold all eight Gatsby Benchmarks – a measure of having excellent practice in careers advice and guidance.
The Gatsby Benchmarks provide a framework for career guidance, outlining the experiences and information each and every young person should have access to so that they can make an informed decision about their future.
Myerscough College also holds national Quality in Careers status, after a thorough evaluation process.
