Rural Business Centre

The Rural Business Centre includes a number of meeting rooms available for hire throughout the working week, whether you are looking to hold a half day or full day meeting, workshop, briefing or event, Myerscough can offer quality provision, excellent customer care, flexibility, choice and value for money.

The Rural Business Centre is situated in the centre of the campus and comprises of 2 floors with 4 meeting rooms on each floor.  The 2 meeting rooms on each floor can be joined to form a larger room.  The building was opened in 2001 and each of the 4 meeting rooms, Brooke, Broadbelt, Crompton and Duerr are named after people associated with the fruit, drink, flower and wool industries. 

The rooms can be set up in a variety of layouts to suit your needs – theatre, boardroom, u‑shaped, cabaret or classroom and can seat:

We offer a wide range of catering options from tea or coffee with biscuits to a full choice of buffet menus including hot items.  All are freshly prepared and served by our in-house catering team, using locally sourced ingredients.  Any dietary requirements – not a problem – just let us know in advance.  We can meet most needs.  See our Myerscough Conference menus for further details and prices. There are a number of car parks at the College, all within close walking distance to the Rural Business Centre.

Included in the room hire cost is:

  • Use of computer, data projector and interactive whiteboard (Broadbelt and Duerr)

  • Plant World, open 7 days a week and home to a wide range of indoor and outdoor plants, trees and shrubs perfect for your home or garden. You can also visit the Tropical, Edible and Temperate Zones and observe our pets.
  • Garden House Tea Room situated in the Plant Centre providing a range of food including soup, sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, desserts, cakes and speciality hot and cold drinks. It is open every day (except Christmas/New Year period) 10.00am-4.00pm.
  • Award-winning gardens covering an area of more than an acre and containing 20 themed plant borders set into a large lawned area, a pond and bog garden, a large collection of trees and an ornamental kitchen garden.
