During the visit, Cat conducted an informative question and answer session with students, and also discussed a number of issues with Myerscough’s Principal and Chief Executive, Wes Johnson.

Pendleton, Rachel, Lecturer in Foundation Learning, said: ‘’A huge thank you to Cat Smith MP for visiting us and conducting a very informative Q&A with our students.

‘’Our students asked some great questions, and Cat reaffirmed to our students the power of voting in general elections.’’

‘’Thank you once again and we hope to invite you back to see us soon!’’

Cat Smith has been the Member of Parliament for Labour in the Lancaster and Fleetwood constituency since 2015. At the next General Election, she will contest the newly created Lancaster and Wyre seat, the area of which includes Myerscough’s main Bilsborrow campus.
