Announcement: Open Day & Country Fair 2024

For those of you that attended our Open Day and Country Fair this year, thank you, and we hope you had a wonderful time.

We certainly enjoyed opening up the campus at Preston for you all to experience and meet some of our amazing teams, as well as local stall holders and exhibitors.

We are keen to continue making the event a great success every time we do it, but we also want to ensure we can host other events, like Open Farm Sunday.

For many years, the event has been one of Lancashire’s premier summer days out, and after an enforced break due to the pandemic, this year we were really excited to welcome thousands of people to our main Bilsborrow campus to enjoy hundreds of attractions for all the family. The event has been named a finalist in the Lancashire Tourism Awards.

Staging an event of such magnitude takes many months of careful planning, involving many Myerscough staff, students and a host of external providers, and it is always a challenge to maintain the exceptionally high standard that both ourselves and our patrons expect, while still being able to both stage and participate in other summer events.

So, to get this balance, going forward we are going to be hosting the Open Day and Country Fair every other year, with lots of other events in between.

We can't wait to welcome you to our next Open Day and Country Fair on Sunday 8th June 2025!

Don't worry about remembering the date, we'll send lots of reminders.

Our stall holders and exhibitors have been an incredible support for the event and we hope to work with as many of you as we can in 2025. Like other years, we were over-subscribed this year so for our next event in 2025 we will be asking potential exhibitors to apply and we will endeavour to accommodate as many of you as possible.

Next year we are putting our efforts in to Open Farm Sunday which falls on Sunday June 9^th 2024. Full details of this will follow in the coming months.

Also in June 2024, we will be holding a Course Advice Day and Applicant Showcase, aimed at those who have applied for a study programme starting in September 2024, or for those still undecided, or who are considering entry in future years.
