NCS

In Partnership with Fleetwood Town football club we now offer students the opportunity to complete the National Citizen Service programme (NCS) here at Myerscough College

NCS is a 3 phase programme that aims to challenge students as well as build life skills in an enjoyable environment where students can socially mix.

The first phase is an activity week where students will go on a 3 night residential trip to an outdoor activity centre to take part in activities such as kayaking, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling.

The second phase is time in college where participants will develop life skills; they will have talks from different organisations and take part in different workshops such as first aid.

In the last phase students will plan and deliver their very own community project, this is a chance for students to gain responsibility and independence and have an impact on their local community.

Students will then have a graduation to celebrate what they have achieved throughout the duration of the programme. NCS is a nationally recognised award and looks great on a CV as well as counting towards your UCAS points when applying for higher education.
