The specifics of this course are, that upon completion of training, the operator should be able to mount abrasive wheels and operate safely in accordance with the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

There are two versions of the abrasive wheels course, please refer to the published course dates to decide on the most appropriate course.

Abrasive Wheels - Engine Driven (Stihl Saw)

Both courses cover the following but focus on the equipment identified above.

  • The course will also cover the maintenance checks both daily and routine that an operator needs to be aware of during and post use.
  • Techniques, safe use of the machines and good and bad practice will be demonstrated.

The course will be assessed at the end of the day and a LANTRA certificate issued.
