Introduction:

Although no time is a quiet time in the garden, summer is often a popular time for gardeners as the weather improves and plants are in full growth. There are a range of tasks that will help you to keep your garden looking good. This course will provide hints and tips to improve your garden.

A keen interest in horticulture.

Demonstration and practice of garden maintenance techniques:

• Plant (and weed!) identification

• Border maintenance

• Pruning

• Plant support

• Feeding / nutrition

• Irrigation

• Tools and techniques

• Trouble shooting

How long will I be learning?

Although this course only lasts for one day, this is only the start and you’ll carry on learning as you put your new skills into practice.

What equipment will I need?

All equipment is provided, but you will need to wear sensible footwear and outdoor clothing.

How will I know if I am making progress?

Demonstration of new skills.
