Introduction to Evaluating Trees for Hazards

About the course

Tree care specialists are continually required to assess the condition of trees and to make professional judgements on the hazard potential. Landowners and Managers have a "Duty of Care" for any damage caused by trees on their property and Arboriculturists are often called upon to provide advice. The course aims to enable a tree inspector to identify defects from ground level and make decisions on how to proceed further with the inspection process. Give necessary advice on remedial works, go through the recording process and make a decision. The course is not aimed at covering report writing as this is a level 3 qualification. No prior knowledge or experience is required but is recommended.

This course provides an introduction to the techniques and equipment that may be used to assist tree hazard analysis from the simplest of tools to advanced decay detection equipment.
