Chef - Preston Campus based

The Food and Beverage department at Myerscough College are looking to recruit highly motivated Chefs to join our team.

About the role

We are seeking to recruit a Chef to work in our College catering outlets and support on-campus events. Joining a positive and friendly team in a fast-moving kitchen environment you will support the delivery of high-quality catering to students, staff and visitors.

About You

To be successful, you will:

  • Have previous experience in a fast-moving kitchen environment
  • Have experience of working with a HACCP or Safer Food Better Business Procedure and good knowledge of working with allergens.
  • Be able to plan effectively (e.g., menu planning skills).
  • Have good knowledge of standards and best practice within the catering sector maintaining the highest standards of food production and service.
  • Be a positive team worker with the ability to work independently on your own initiative, and to set deadlines and standards.
